Hey Yotes, welcome to the CSUSB Advising Podcast. This is Matt Markin, and today's episode is a little bit different. This is not an advising update nor an interview about one of the majors offered at CSUSB. No, today I'm here to say thank you and to share that the CSUSB Advising Podcast is coming to an end. This will be the last episode. This podcast began in 2020, and since then it has grown into more than 120 episodes created for CSUSB students. So from advising tips to conversations with faculty, staff, advisors, and campus resources, the goal has always been simple to help you feel more informed, more connected, and more confident as you navigated your college journey. So to you, the students at CSUSB, thank you. Thank you for listening between classes on your commute while working, while planning your next semester, or maybe while trying to make sense of registration, academic requirements, deadlines, policies. Should I change my major? Should I go into graduate school? I know college can sometimes feel like trying to read a map while the road is still being built. My hope is that this podcast gave you a few more signs along the way. Whether you listened to one episode or many, I hope you heard something that helped you ask a better question, find a resource you did not know existed, connect you with someone on campus, or simply feel a little less alone during this whole process. You were the audience I always had in mind. Every episode was created with the hope that it could support you, encourage you, and remind you that there are people on campus who want to help you succeed. I also want to thank the many guests who joined me over the years, from faculty, staff, advisors, administrators, campus partners, and students all gave their time, their expertise, and their voices to this project. You helped make advising feel more human, more accessible, and more connected. You turned information into conversation. And to my advising colleagues, also thank you. Academic advising is often the quiet architecture behind a student success. It is built through conversations, emails, appointments, workshops, referrals, encouragement, problem solving, and overall care. This podcast was one way to highlight that work, and I am grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. When I think back on the podcast, I think about all the topics we covered: academic programs, registration, graduation, campus resources, student success strategies, career preparation, graduate school options, and so, so much more. Some episodes were practical, some could be seen as exploratory, some were just a chance to introduce students to the people behind the programs and services they might need someday. And that was important to me because students like you should not have to discover support by accident. Sometimes the right piece of information at the right time can change a student's path, it can help them stay enrolled, choose a major, recover from a tough semester, prepare for graduation, or take a brave step. If this podcast helped even a few of you do that, then it did what it was meant to do. So to the students listening, please continue to ask questions, please continue to use your resources, meet with your academic advisor, of course, talk with your faculty, visit campus resources. Just stay curious about your options. You do not have to have everything figured out all at once. Most importantly, remember that you belong at CSUSB. Your goals matter, your story matters, your presence on campus matters. Even though this podcast is ending, the support at CSUSB is not ending. The campus resources are still here for you. So keep reaching out, keep showing up, and keep moving forward. It has been an honor to be part of your journey through this podcast. Thank you for trusting me and my guests with your time. Thank you for letting the show be one small voice in your CSUSB experience. Now, although this is the last episode, all previous episodes are still available on all podcast platforms and also on the Buzz Sprout website. So you can go back and learn more about the various programs and majors we have at CSUSB. So one last time, thank you for tuning in to the CSUSB Advising Podcast. Take care and go Yotes.
